For the fourth consecutive year, the Communauté de Communes La Domitienne (Town and Village Association “The Domitian”) and the Parc Culturel du Biterrois come together to present a new edition of the Festival Patrimoine en Domitienne which became, in 2010, « InvitationS ».

Riquet's Wonder: The Canal du Midi.
After 'Riquet's Dream', the musical group OC goes back in time 330 years and re-enacts the inaugural journey of the Canal du Midi. A musical, historical and pyrotechnical montage which recounts the wealth brought by this engineering masterpiece – an engine for the development of viticulture – to the whole region.

A guitar genius, Jean-Félix Lalanne gave his first concerts at age 13, and at 16 had already transcribed Chopin's Nocturnes, Walzes and Polonaises for the guitar. He is one of the most talented and prolific artists of his generation, with more than 23 recorded albums and two nominations to the 'Victoires de la Musique' award. With Marquito, Jean Félix Lalane plays a mixed repertoire of personal works and well-known pieces redone with a twist of a guitar-drum duo.

"The paths of creation" are divided into three conferences attempting to explain the profound changes which occurred in the field of arts and letters, over the span of one century, from the French Revolution in 1789 to the Paris Commune in 1871.
First conference: The revolutionary era, which does not only established a new kind of ethics but also a new form of aesthetics. Each conference will be punctuated by musical interludes illustrating the topic discussed: from revolutionary songs (La Marseillaise, The Departure Chant...) to those of the Commune (The Commune Isn't Dead), to Beethoven, Berlioz, Liszt, Offenbach...

Port of Colombiers
Christian Mendoze and his ensemble Musica Antiqua Provence end their European tour with Perlogesi's Stabat Mater. It is a true musical masterpiece, 'the most famous and moving work of italian music' (Mercure de France, may 1754). Unlike his contemporaries, Pergolesi opens up the secrets of melancholy and emotions with a sober and concise style, making him a precursor of classicism in the second half of the 18th century.

Second conference: The first romanticism, characterized by a tension both in the political order and in the poetic field, when the Ancien Regime, thought to be defunct in 1789, engages in a final battle with the new world, a new world born of the Revolution.

Echo chamber of the first revolution, July 1830 is also the time when people become aware of the contradictions underlying society.
